Why Lisbon is the perfect holiday destination for plant lovers

Travelling anywhere is hard at the moment with the current state of 2020, so I was really lucky to be able to visit Lisbon in Portugal.

It was my first time and i fell in love with the city. From the food to the sunshine it felt great to escape for a while and see much loved friends who live there that we hadn't seen in ages. (I can see the appeal to move there now!)

Our first planned visit in April was cancelled, so when they took Portugal off the list we booked to go out there for a week. Unfortunately by the time we went Portugal was back on the quarantine list. We had tests before & after we went and were mindful when visiting and stayed at home for 14 days after.

I planned to visit some of the tropical gardens I had scoped out before going and they didn't disappoint. I felt (and probably looked) like a kid on Christmas day, I had never seen my favourite species of plants so giant, so luscious! What a feast for the eyes.

Here are some of my pictures for you to see for yourselves, maybe you can plan your next trip there when you feel safe to do so.
