I was briefed to hand paint 50 cups and saucers for an Italian restaurant, for diners to enjoy a lemoncello digestif after each meal.
And what a fun commission it was. I love to work with bright colours, and it was great to use a glaze paint which was a paint that I hadn't used before.
I created illustrated icons for the plates. The idea for the illustration to be hiding under the cup but appears when you take your lemoncello shot.
I learned a new painting technique and can't wait to experiment more by creating my own dinnerware collections with gorgeous colourful glaze!
